How can employers understand whether a current or potential benefit will truly meet their employees\u2019 needs? How can they evaluate whether it will drive the outcomes they want \u2013 happy, healthy employees and effective cost containment?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To help benefit leaders answer these questions, Progyny surveyed more than 1,400 patients who used fertility coverage through <a href=\"https:\/\/progyny.com\/blog\/cycle-based-vs-dollar-cap-fertility-benefits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dollar cap<\/a> and traditional carrier benefits in the last five years to find out what their experiences have been like.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The results uncovered a plan design ripe for change:&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>53% of employees had to compromise aspects of provider-recommended care due to cost<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>60% of employees spent money on wasted medication or ineffective treatment<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>1\/3 of employees didn\u2019t have a care path option for their family building scenario<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>63% of employees said their work productivity suffered from increased stress due to inadequate support<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<section id=\"block_66be2352501b3\" class=\"fav-spacer fav-block spacer shape-none shape-position-0 desktop-20 mobile-20\">\n<\/section>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s clear that fertility benefits can be delivered differently.
